From our PTA President

Greetings! As your new Fairland Elementary School Parent Teacher Association President, I would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome all new incoming families to Fairland, and returning to the 2019-2020 school year! The PTA is a vital part of the Fairland Falcons family. Our mission is to “achieve educational excellence by encouraging parental involvement, building strong teacher-parent relationships, enabling academic enrichment programs, and providing academic, fun, and family-oriented activities which promote learning and strengthen our community.” Our overarching objective this year is to resourcefully support the administration, staff, parents and most specifically our students. Over the summer, the PTA executive board members worked diligently to expand essential elements of programming and fundraising goals for a very productive and exciting year intended to enrich the educational environment for all students. To accurately meet the various needs of our school, staff and students it requires hard work, engagement and commitment of our community members. I encourage ALL to become a part of the PTA team. The number one reason to pay the $10.00 annual membership fee and join the PTA is to benefit the children. Moreover, we would love for you to also show your support by participating in the numerous events and programs that we have planned throughout the year. Each one of us has different talents, skills, abilities and resources that are greatly needed to make the Fairland Falcons’ PTA a huge success. There are endless opportunities for you to serve. In whatever manner you decide to participate, your time and involvement will certainly be appreciated. One hour of time is valuable, please get involved; you will not regret it!
